After his world was rocked with scandal last week, Robert Pattinson has reportedly been hiding out in an unexpected place -- Reese Witherspoon's vacation house.
Witherspoon has been a trusted friend -- and offered up her house as a safe haven -- to a still reeling Pattinson, People is reporting. According to the magazine, the sought-after Twilight star is currently crashing at his Water for Elephants co-star's $7 million ranch in Ojai, California.

And he doesn't appear to be coming out of hiding anytime soon. Pattinson recently canceled an upcoming U.S. press appearance to promote his latest film, the critically acclaimed Cosmopolis.
Witherspoon herself would appear to know a thing or two about an infidelity scandal -- rumors of her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe's affair with his Stop-Loss costar Abbie Cornish persisted until their divorce in 2006.

There has been no word on whether or not Pattinson will appear at Cosmopolis' first U.S. premiere scheduled to take place in New York City, though he is still scheduled to present at this year's MTV Video Music Awards with Kristen Stewart on September 6.
