Sometimes it feels like Rashida Jones can do no wrong. The Parks and Recreation star has a hilarious Twitter account, her new movie Celeste and Jesse Forever charmed our pants off, and, heck, even Beyoncé loves her.

But as it turns out, maybe she can.

Jones’ interview with Spinning Platters last Friday wandered into “oops” territory when she made comments urging John Travolta to come out, and now she’s taking to Twitter to make amends. “Made a thoughtless comment about John Travolta,” Jones tweeted. “I sincerely apologize. Nobody’s personal life is my business.”

The Travolta talk came up after discussion of Jones’ love of R&B star Frank Ocean, who last month publicly acknowledged a prior relationship with another man. Celeste and Jesse Forever co-writer Will McCormack, also in the interview, said, “There needs to be, like, a professional athlete that comes out,” to which Jones responded, “A movie star. Like John Travolta? Come out! Come on. How many masseurs have to come forward? Let’s do this.”

Jones’ comments refer to lawsuits against Travolta this year by masseurs who alleged sexual battery, claims which Travolta’s lawyer, Marty Singer, called “absurd and ridiculous.” The first accuser dropped the lawsuit, and the second accuser’s lawsuit was dismissed. In June, a different man sued Travolta for assault and battery, and Travolta and Singer were also sued for trade libel by Robert Randolph, who wrote a book called You’ll Never Spa in This Town Again, which alleges that Travolta had sexual encounters with men in bath houses. Travolta’s camp has dismissed both allegations.
