When it comes to Shia LaBeouf, nothing is off limits â" including the explicit scenes in his new film, Nymphomaniac.
According to the Lawless actor, heâs willing to do whatever controversial director Lars von Trier asks of him, even if it means actually having sex on camera.
âThereâs a disclaimer at the top of the script that basically says, weâre all doing it for real,â LaBeouf reveals during an interview with MTV. âAnd everything that is illegal, weâll shoot in blurred images, but other than that, everything is happening.â
How does he feel about the project?
â[Von Trier] is very dangerous, you know. Heâs like the most dangerous dude that Iâve ever showed up for,â he says. âIâm terrified. Iâm so terrified.â
âItâs going to be a wild movie,â he adds, smirking.
Von Trier is already known for pushing boundaries with his 2009â²s Antichrist, which graphically depicts scenes of sex, masturbation and circumcision.
The famed filmmaker also made headlines when he infamously said that he âsympathizeâ with Adolf Hitler and professed to being a Nazi during a conference at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.
However, LaBeouf isnât without shocking moments of his own.
The actor recently slammed the major studio system, telling The Hollywood Reporter, â[They] give you the money, then get on a plane and come to the set and stick a finger up your a** and chase you around for five months.â
LaBeouf, whoâs starred in blockbusters such as Transformers and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skulls in the past, also went full frontal for Sigur Rosâ âFjogur Pianoâ music video earlier this year.
