Live, from New York, it’s a lot of Chicago talent.

“Saturday Night Live” is adding three new featured players, all of whom cut their teeth in the Chicago comedy scene.

Aidy Bryant trained with iO Chicago and Annoyance Theatre and was an ensemble member of The Second City e.t.c. stage, where she wrote and performed in “We’re All in This Room Together,” which she recently left. The Columbia College Chicago graduate is part of the iO team Virgin Daiquiri. She was in the 2010 Annoyance Theatre show “Swear Jar” with current “SNL” player Vanessa Bayer.

Tim Robinson, also a Second City alum, performed on its Mainstage and in its national touring company. He plays with iO’s Cook County Social Club. Origianlly from the Detroit area, Robinson wrote and performed two revues on Second City’s Mainstage, “Spoiler Alert: Everybody Dies” and “South Side of Heaven.”

Oak Park native Cecily Strong studied at iO and The Second City training center in the conservatory program. She was part of Second City’s national touring company since last year and worked with Second City Theatricals aboard the Norwegian Jewel cruise ship.

The trio joins the cast as three veteran “SNL” members â€" Kristin Wiig, Andy Samberg and Abby Elliott â€" depart NBC’s long-running late-night show.

“SNL” kicks off its 38th season Saturday with host Seth MacFarlane (“Family Guy”) and musical guest Frank Ocean.
