The planning for Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s Sunday wedding at Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, S.C., was orchestrated “like a top-secret military operation,” revealed a source close to the couple Monday.

“This couple treasures their privacy with an intensity that is pretty strong â€" even compared to other privacy-starved stars in Hollywood,” said a veteran studio marketing executive who knows both “Green Lantern” stars pretty well. Reportedly all arrangements were carried out under pseudonyms, with many connected to the actual ceremony or post-wedding celebration unaware of the couple’s true identity. Those who had to know signed non-disclosure privacy forms, added the first source.

† One nice note: Reynolds reportedly has received a nice congrats greeting from his first wife, Scarlett Johansson, who let her ex-hubby know she was happy for him on his big day.

† As Us Weekly reported, the site of the marriage was featured in the 2004 film of Nicholas Sparks’ bestseller The Notebook, starring Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling. A Lively friend tells me the film is a favorite of the actress, who, ironically, briefly dated Gosling in late 2010, after she split with her “Gossip Girl” co-star Penn Badgley.

Over the past year, Lively and Reynolds were spotted frequently in South Carolina, fueling stories the couple just might tie the knot in the Charleston area.

SPEAKING OF WEDDINGS: Don’t know if it was due to our column mention here, but I’m delighted Rigo Garcia and Claudia Hernandez of Crown Point, Ind., were the big winners of Bridal Guide’s “Dream Wedding Design” contest, created by famed event planner David Tutera. The happy couple pulled in the most online votes of the thousands placed and soon will meet with Tutera to plan their big day and their Mexican honeymoon.
