Britney Spears Walks Off 'The X Factor' On First Day Of Auditions - Starpulse.com

Britney Spears started her new job as a judge on The X Factor on Thursday, and her first day got off to a great start, but ended a little strangely.

14 artists tried out for the show, but the "Toxic" singer reportedly walked off the set after the 10th, leaving fellow judges Simon Cowell, Antonio "L.A." Reid and Demi Lovato to hear the final four acts.

According to TMZ.com, Britney was angered after one aspiring singer auditioned by performing her hit single "Hold It Against Me" - and totally butchered it. Britney left her fellow judges behind afterward the tryout; but a show insider says that Britney just "needed a break".

E! Online.com reports that the pop princess only said "no" two to acts and was very pleasant to the hopefuls packed into the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.

E! also reports that new judges Spears and Lovato sat in the seats occupied by Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger last season, respectively; and that the four judges appeared to have a lot of fun, with Lovato even calling Simon Cowell, "grandpa" at one point.

"Texas has a lot of talent - seriously! Loving The X Factor (USA) auditions so far..." she tweeted afterward.
