Another week, another Chris-Brown-what-are-you-doing? moment. Last night Brown and Game released a new track I Don't Like all about the recent bottle-throwing fight between their entourages at a New York City night club. Digs in the diss track abound, not the least of which is calling Drake a "pu**y ni**a."
A quick recap on the rumble in question: in early June, Brown and Drake and their entourages were all partying at a club in SoHo called W.i.P. Chris reportedly sent a bottle of fancy schmancy Ace of Spades champagne to Drake's table and Drake sent it back with a note reading "I'm fucking the love of your life" â" referring, of course, to Rihanna. Because you choke and punch the love of your life, amirite? Drake's friend rapper Meek Mill apparently gave Brown the finger; no one quite knows what happened next, but bottles were thrown (allegedly by Drake's crew), innocent bystanders were injured in the melee, and Brown got a bloody, busted lip.Â
So, like the true artiste that he is, Chris Brown has now responded in lyrical form yesterday through DJ Orator:
"A fuck ni**a, that's that shit I don't like/ They throwin' bottles, I'm throwin' models, just 'cause I give a bitch long pipe. Doing shows on the soccer field/ that's dome right? I be singin', he be singin', so it's on, sight/ But hold up, I ain't give a ni**a no green light/ This head up, my bread up, one-on-one, what you scared, bruh?/ Matter fact, take care bruh, you a pu**y ni**a"
"Take care," of course, is a reference to Drake's album Take Care, and the "long pipe" comment is probably a reference to Chris Brown's penis but may well be a reference to an actual pipe he threatened to beat the shit out of Rihanna with. One doesn't really know.
Is anyone surprised Chris Brown put out a diss track? Not really.
