Demi Lovato might have already taken home two big Teen Choice wins Sunday night, but the awards-show powers that be should also consider handing her another prize for having one of the busiest summers ever.
Lovato is not only in the midst of a popular summer tour, traveling all over the country as part of her judging duties on "The X Factor," but she took on the Teen Choice Awards hosting job as well.
MTV News caught up with the hostess with the mostest at the show Sunday night to see what went into her preparation for the coveted gig.
"I just prepared by reading over the lines with my friend Kevin [McHale]," Lovato said of her "Glee" star co-host. "I feel like a lot of it is going to be improv, just because we know each other really well, we grew up together, so a lot of it's going to be us joking back and forth with each other, which is really fun."
As part of the show's VIP crew, does Lovato get a heads-up about who the winners will be before they're announced? "I don't know who the winners are, because they were rehearsing [with fake names]," she revealed. "So they could have said one winner was someone and someone else wins later; it wasn't all for sure."
Lucky for Lovato, she was able to take part in the surprise reactions from the winners just like the rest of us who watched. We then asked the "Skyscraper" songbird if she looked for inspiration from other prior hosts of the awards show.
"No, I'm actually so busy right now that I didn't have time to look anywhere [for inspiration]. I just wanted to feel comfortable with what I was wearing, and I do," she said, adding that her bold, metallic red-carpet outfit helped her feel confident and prepared going into the evening.
