Eva Longoria, 37, has a new beau, the Jets’ Mark Sanchez, 25.

Eva Longoria must have a thing for athletes.

The pint-sized “Desperate Housewives” star confirmed Thursday she’s got a new beau: Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez.

“Mark and I are, you know, fine. We’re happy â€" just dating,” Longoria, 37, told “Extra” host Mario Lopez.

But it took a bit of prying to get the actress to open up, and she jokingly called Lopez an “a--hole” before admitting she’s playing the field with Sanchez, 25.

Rumors surfaced over the summer that the two were seeing one another â€" at one point spotted grocery shopping together in Bedminster, N.J., near where Sanchez owns a home.

Mark Sanchez may have to share the QB job with Tim Tebow, right, but he has Eva Langoria all to himself, it seems.

Longoria divorced her second husband, San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker, in early 2011 after less than four years of marriage. She’s since been linked to Spanish-born singer Eduardo Cruz, the brother of actress Penelope Cruz. The two reportedly called it quits earlier this summer.

While Longoria declined to go into detail about her relationship with Sanchez, she did divulge why she’s a devoted member of Gang Green.

“I’m a big fan of the Jets because they have the best center in the NFL, Nick Mangold,” she said on “Extra.”

Eva Longoria says she’s a big fan of the Jets because, 'they have the best center in the NFL, Nick Mangold,' she say.

Longoria, who’ll co-host the 2012 ALMA Awards next week with comedian George Lopez, was a featured speaker at last week’s Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C.

But, she told Mario Lopez, she doesn’t see politics in her future.

“I think the power is in the citizen. ... We all have the power to vote,” she said. “That’s the real power â€" being a citizen.”
