Jennifer Aniston is ready to marry again: The actress is engaged to screenwriter and actor Justin Theroux.

Aniston’s rep, Stephen Huvane, confirmed the engagement Sunday night to People.com.

On Friday â€" his 41st birthday â€" Theroux got “an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage,” Huvane said in a statement.

Theroux â€" whose screenwriting credits include “Tropic Thunder,” “Iron Man 2” and “Rock of Ages” â€" appeared with Aniston earlier this year in the comedy “Wanderlust.”

This will be 43-year-old Aniston’s second marriage and Theroux’s first. Her union with Brad Pitt from 2000 to 2005 â€" and their subsequent divorce â€" became rich material for the tabloids. After her marriage ended, she was in high-profile relationships with Vince Vaughn and John Mayer.
