LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Booted âAmerican Idolâ contestant Joshua Ledet says he sensed his elimination coming before he was axed from the FOX series.
âI got a bad vibe from the atmosphere and the room,â the singer told AccessHollywood.comâs Laura Saltman after Thursdayâs elimination. âI just got a vibe, I mentally prepared myself. I didnât take it as hard as I would expect.â
Though he wonât be competing for the coveted title, Josh explained that heâs happy for fellow competitors Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez.
âI guess it wasnât meant for me. Philip and Jessica are both amazing,â he said. âYou canât really compare our voices because weâre all so different, they deserve it. They worked so hard.â
The singer said heâs finding solace in the support of âIdolâ judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson.
âI love Jennifer, I love Randy and Steven,â Josh said with a big smile. âTheyâve been with me throughout this whole competition. Just knowing that theyâre still there are all after all this, is an amazing feeling.â
