LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- LeAnn Rimes headed back to the stage on Friday night to perform her first concert since announcing sheâd checked herself into rehab for help with stress and anxiety.
The county crooner, 30, addressed the issue with the audience, telling her fans she didnât want to ignore the âelephant in the room.â
âIâm totally cool and so happy; I think Iâm about to cry,â LeAnn told the crowd at the Eau Claire Regional Arts Center in Eau Claire, Wis., according to People. âThanks for being awesome fans â" patient and understanding.â
LeAnn performed 14 songs, including new music from her upcoming album, which the singer said is her most emotionally raw album to date.
âOn this new record, I guess I bared everything down to the core,â she said, according to the mag, adding that sheâs âpissed off at a lot of thingsâ but âcanât say it.â
âSo, it comes out in the music,â she added.
One new ballad â" âBorrowedâ â" seemed to point to her relationship with husband Eddie Cibrian, who was married to Brandi Glanville when they met.
The song, which LeAnn dubbed âthe most honest song Iâve written,â includes the lyrics, âI donât want to give you back. Youâre the best Iâve ever had.â
LeAnn later thanked her concert-goers via Twitter, writing, âThanks to all my wonderful fans in Wisconsin. You showed me an amazing amount of love and respect tonight. Love you always.â
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, last week, LeAnn entered a treatment program to get help with dealing with stress.
âLeAnn has voluntarily entered a 30 day in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress,â the singerâs rep, Marcel Pariseau, told Access Hollywood at the time. âWhile there will be speculation regarding her treatment, she is simply there to learn and develop coping mechanisms. While privacy isnât expected, itâs certainly appreciated.â
The country starâs rep also clarified LeAnn is not seeking treatment for any type of substance abuse or eating disorder.
