Rihanna Gets Chest Tattoo in Memory of Her Late Grandmother - Billboard

Rihanna has now paid tribute to her late grandmother, who passed away in July after a long battle with cancer, with a mammoth tattoo of an Egyptian goddess on her chest.

MTV VMAs 2012: Rihanna, One Direction Find Love & Moonmen

Fresh off her MTV Video Music Awards victory and her appearance at the London Paralympics, the singer posted a revealing Instagram of the fresh ink between her breasts. Rihanna wrote: "Goddess Isis - Complete Woman - Model for future generations - #GRANGRANDOLLY - always in and on my heart #1love."

Holding her arm across her bare cleavage for modesty, she showed off a large image of Isis kneeling with her wings spread across Rihanna's ribcage. She is said to symbolize the eternal mother, friend to slaves, sinners and the helpless.

Rihanna had her new ink done at a tattoo parlor in the Soho area of London and was seen flashing her midriff and revealing the Saran Wrap and masking tape used to cover fresh and still oozing tattoos

There have certainly been a lot of changes for Rihanna lately. She just cropped her hair super short and debuted the extreme look on the MTV VMAs. But one person is not fond of  her new androgynous do. CNN's Piers Morgan tweeted: '"@piersmorgan: ps I think @Rihanna needs to grow her hair back. Fast."

To which she smacked back on Twitter: "grow a d**k..... FAST!!!!"

The new piece of body art follows Rihanna's recent June ink of a flying Egyptian falcon in the shape of a handgun right above her right ankle.

Word is that this is her 18th tattoo, including a pistol on her thigh, a cross on her collarbone, a musical note on her ankle, a Pisces astrology sign behind her right ear and the word "love" on her left middle finger. She also has a trail of stars emblazoned on the back of her neck, next to the French phrase "Rebelle Fleur" -- which translates to "rebellious flower."

But who's counting, right?

Tell us: What do you think of Rihanna's new ink?
