Should Drake And Chris Brown Be Held Responsible For Damage To Club's Reputation? - Cinema Blend

Chris Brown and Drake’s recent brawl may have generated a lot of headlines for the two musicians, but it wound up costing W.I.P. nightclub an incredible amount of money. New York City officials were so enraged by what happened, they yanked the club’s liquor license and then even briefly shut the property down. After lawyers got involved, the authorities eventually let W.I.P. open back up with booze, but by the time that happened, a $4 million licensing agreement the owners had negotiated was terminated.

There’s no way of knowing exactly how much money the club lost thanks to the two stars throwing bottles at each other, but after careful consideration, the owners settled on $16 million, which is very important because they’re now suing to get those losses back. If you take it from the club’s management, everything that happened all traces back to either Drake or Brown. It was the former’s refusal to accept a bottle from the latter that started the arguments, and it was allegedly the security team of each who participated in the bottle throwing.

Given these facts, it’s not surprising the club is suing Drake and Brown; however, it is surprising the club is suing the two for more than the physical damage their actions allegedly caused. If someone random walks into a nightclub and breaks something with a chair, we expect the moron to pay for damages. What we do not expect though is for the person to be charged with damaging the club’s reputation.

What do you think? Should Brown and Drake be forced to pay for damaging the club’s reputation? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…
