One Direction are set to have a big night at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards Thursday. Not only will they take the stage for the first time ever at the VMAs, but they are also up for a handful of Moonmen, including Best New Artist, Best Pop Video and Most Share-Worthy Video.
And when MTV News caught up with One Direction while they were chilling in L.A., they revealed just who they want to meet at the show when it goes live at 8 p.m. ET/PT. "We're excited to see Green Day 'cause growing up Green Day were like one of the big bands around of our generation," Niall Horan said. "So it'd be exciting to meet them. Obviously Pink. Yeah, Frank Ocean. Pink, Taylor Swift, Rihanna."
Horan then explained why he wants to meet Pink so badly. "I think it'd be nice to meet Pink [because] she kind of does her own thing," he said. "It's going to be nerve-racking, but we're trying to do our best."
Liam Payne added, "I want to meet Jay-Z."
Zayn Malik still had Frank Ocean on the brain when he shared he's looking forward to meeting him. "Frank Ocean's performing. I'm excited to see that," he said.

Louis Tomlinson had one woman in mind when he answered. He shared. "All the single ladies? I think it'd be nice to see Katy Perry again. We've seen her a few times now."
The VMAs will air live from Staples Center in Los Angeles at 8 p.m., with our pre-show at 7 p.m. and the "Jersey Shore" special "Gym, Tan, Look Back" at 6 p.m.
